Boost Your Child’s Immune System

Another way to avoid getting sick is by helping your child and yourself boost the immune system. If your immune system is stronger and you’re healthier, you and your child will have a harder time getting sick. Fruits and Vegetables

As a parent, you’ve probably read on and on about the importance of feeding your child fruits and vegetables. We’re going to reiterate that importance because it is vital that you feed your child fruits and vegetables, especially when they are growing. Fruits and vegetables are filled with so many immunity boosting nutrients; when you start your child eating these foods at an early age, they’ll be able to continue having a great immune system for the remainder of their life.

Sleeping

Sleeping well throughout life is imperative. When you sleep the required hours, your brain will be more functional, your immune system will boost, and you’ll be able to go about your day-to-day activities without feeling exhausted. When your child is growing, they should continue to have many hours of sleep to ensure they are as high functioning as possible. To give you a good idea of what your child should be sleeping: a baby needs 18 hours of crib time, a toddler at least 12 hours, and a preschooler 10 hours. As your child grows he or she should have at least eight hours of sleep a night.

Exercise

When you incorporate exercise into your family when your child is small, they’re able to go through life exercising everyday. Exercise as a family by playing sports, bike riding, or going for weekly hikes. Not only will you participate in family bonding time, but your child will carry on the importance of exercising throughout his or her life and maintain a healthy immune system.
